STA On The Field provides equipment grants and registration assistance to eligible groups or individuals. This includes any qualifying individuals, league, school, or community-based organization that serves economically disadvantaged children (under the age of 18)
Application & Grant Considerations

Requests are each assessed by the Board and the following factors are considered: registration and enrollment fees, additional costs to parents, school free and reduced lunch rates, the specific contents of each request, and any other relevant factors.

Programs that serve individuals with disabilities may be exempted from the age requirement of players under 18 years of age.
We reserve the right to decline applicants who do not fit our mission of helping young athletes in under-resourced circumstances, which includes but are not limited to:

Competitive travel teams: these programs are defined as travel teams who require an additional fee to play, such as tournament teams, showcase teams, scout teams, pay to play, etc.

Any group or program that discriminates against a group of people

Eligibility & Guidelines

Eligible recipients are individuals, or groups that include any league, school, or community-based organization that serves economically disadvantaged children (under the age of 18)

Eligible recipients may receive ONE grant per calendar year. Consider fall, spring, and summer league rotations and fees when applying for a grant or assistance.

Equipment or Financial assistance can take up to 3 months to process depending on the amount requested and time of year when the request is received.

We STRONGLY encourage requests to be submitted 8-10 weeks prior to the start of the season in which the request is being made for.

The contact person for ANY request must be over 18 years of age.

For group, school, or program requests, STA On The Field reserves the right to grant a partial quantity based on eligibility and Board decision.
What To Expect

Submit an Assistance Application. **Make sure you have completed every necessary field on the application as it pertains to your specific circumstance i.e. Individual, Group, School, etc.**

We recommend saving a copy of your application. If you do not receive an email confirming receipt of your completed application, send an email to contact@staonthefield.com with a copy of your application and date and time of submission. PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAN FOLDERS BEFORE SENDING.

Within 10 business days, a STA On The Field member will contact you via email with any follow-up questions regarding your application. If you do not respond to these emails, your application will be void and declined. Communication with the STA OTF team is mandatory through the application process.

​If approved, STA OTF members will confirm with the approved recipient for financial or equipment assistance specifically what will be granted within 30 days of Board approval. We will provide a detailed breakdown of the items or monetary grant and will move forward with disbursement.

To be eligible for assistance in the following year, the recipient must complete a Mission Form following the end of the most current season immediately following the grant disbursement.
